Thanksgiving 2011

We spent Thanksgiving at our house this year.  Jeff was on-call and my parents came down to celebrate with us.  Thankfully, Jeff didn't get called in and we enjoyed a great meal that afternoon and my mom helped me decorate for Christmas that night.
Happy Thanksgiving!!

 "I love you THIS much!"
"now how do you open this thing?"
Jeff was trying to decide the best way to preform surgery on our bird
Finn with his Papa Sid and Gran

 First bite of dressing
Pure contentment... He LOVED the dressing!
The sweet potato casserole wasn't too bad either.
excuse the poor focus but I just love how big he has his mouth open for the next bite.
We are SO thankful for this sweet little boy that God has blessed us with and can't wait for all the Thanksgivings to come.

Razorback football and a visit from Gran and Papa Sid

My parents came down the weekend before Thanksgiving for the Razorback game, but really to see Finn, haha!  My dad and I went to the game while Jeff worked and my mom stayed home with the boy.

My Dad and I before the game.

Finn does NOT like it when you try to encourage him to crawl

And just because he is so darn cute...

Halloween 2011 (and yes I realize its December)

Here are some pics of our cute little chubby monkey!!

7 Months....I am so behind

I am so super behind on this blog, I have to do better since this is basically Finn's baby book! I have already decided that my New Years Resolution is going to be to post at least once a week.  My sweet baby boy has just grown up soooo much in the past month.
Finn has definately become attached to his "lovie" this month.
OMG, this boy is so stinkin cute!!

If you look closely you can see his little toother.  Its on the bottom and the one next to it should be coming through any day now.
 "Hi Momma!"
 love his little raindeer bottom

Back on November 29th, my baby boy turned 7 months old.  Lots of stuff happened during his 7th month including his first Thanksgiving, his first tooth(bottom right), saying goodbye to our sweet Sunny, and starting to wave bye-bye.
Finn and Butch
(I know this looks totally staged, but I swear Butch just walked over to Finn and sat down beside him.  I was on the couch and amazingly Butch stayed still long enough for me to get the camera and capture this sweetness.)

 Finn and Sunny
Sunny was diagonsied with a tumor on her jaw in early November, and due to the aggressive nature of the cancer we had to say good-bye just a few weeks later.  You can tell in this picture she wasn't feeling well, but she loved our sweet baby boy and just couldn't stand not to be were he was.

Finn is still wearing size 3 diapers and 6-9 month clothes, although I've bought a few 12 month outfits and they fit.  Eating lots and lots of food and loved his first taste of dressing over Thanksgiving. We have cut down to just 4 bottles a day and Finn is sleeping throught the night 99% of the time.  Still not crawling and he has only rolled over a handful of times, we are enjoying the stationary baby while it lasts.  Before we know it he will be running all over the place.

6 Months

It is practically impossibe to get a picture of this boy that isn't blurry.  He is contantly moving in some way.  He has changed so much this month!

I thought it would be fun to include all his monthly pics in this post so you can really see the changes.

2 Months
you can really tell that I had no idea how to work my camera those first few months, :-)  I still have lots to learn, but as least most of my pictures now are in focus, haha!

3 Months

4 Months

5 Months

It's so amazing to me that he has grown and changed so much in such a short amount of time.  I hope the next 6 months don't go quite as fast as the first six.
STATS:
weight: 17lbs 4oz
length: 27
Wearing size 6-12 months and size 2 shoe
Diapers: size 3
Milestones:  Finn is a great little eater and has tried and loved just about every thing with the exception of green beans.  Favorite fruit so far is a tie between peaches and mangos. I think he likes sweet potatoes and squash the best out of the veggies.
He is sitting up on his own very well and loves to play on the floor with his toys and books.  He still likes the exersaucer and jumper.  He still isn't rolling over, but I know he can, he's just not interested.  He is switching toys from hand to hand and actually searches through the pile to find the ones he likes best.

 "This ear looks yummy"

"I'm about to make a BIG mess."

"Mom I am done with this picture business."
