Easter 2012

We spent Easter in Jonesboro this year with the Sheridan crew and had such a great time.  We dyed eggs, went to church, and had a fun egg hunt with the cousins.  Finn's cousins just adore him and I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual.

 Ms. Margie got Finn this duck for Easter.  He sings a silly song and Finn just loved him.  He came in very handy while trying to get this boy to smile at the camera. He also "talked" on this phone all weekend.

11 months

My sweet baby is another month older and that much closer to turning 1.  I knew when he was born that this year was going to go by fast, but wow! There are days that I miss my sweet tiny baby, but mostly I love watching him grow and learn new things every single day. This past month has been especially full of new tricks.  At 11 months Finn crawls 100 mph, says about 5 words, and is learning to joys of pulling up.  He also bit his Momma this month, which as not so much fun.  I had a bruise for a full week on my arm. 

STATS:

Diapers: size 4

Shoes: size 3

Clothes: anywhere from 12 months to 24 months.  He has a super long torso with short legs which makes for interesting shopping for Momma.

Eats: 3 solid meals a day of table food with some baby food thrown in.  He has 2 snacks at school and takes 3-4 6ounce bottles a day. 

Language: "Momma", "DaDa and daddy", "dog", "bye-bye", "more" and today he said "Hi Daddy" completely unprompted.  He will wave bye-bye, but never on command.  I have a feeling he is going to be a bit stubborn.

Favorites: Books! He brings me about 25 books a day to read to him and gets MAD if I try and just turn the pages and not really read.  He loves balls of any kind and has mastered the art of throwing and will play "catch" for hours.  He also loves to watch Sesame Street and plays with his cars alot.

We had our first stomach bug this month which was pretty yucky, but we made it through.

I couldn't get him to take pictures in his crib this month, because he has decided that if its not bedtime he's not supposed to be in there and will throw a fit.  Fits have offically started and luckily so far they are still few and far between.  They mostly occur during diaper/clothing changes or if I won't read the book properly, haha.

10 months

You haven't grown much since last month and are still wearing all the same sizes, except for shoes. I took you to a shoe store and had your foot measured and you are offically a size 3. I felt really bad because just a few days earlier I had you wearing a pair of shoes that were 2s. You are just growing way too fast!

You have 5 teeth! You just got a new one on top this week.
You will eat pretty much anything we put in front of you. You have enjoyed steak, roast, pork chops, spagetti, mac and cheese, every fruit imaginable, lots of veggies and lots of other delicious things. I'm not sure what your favorite is because you love it all. You still don't drink out of cup too well, but you keep trying.

 You wave bye bye, say dada and what we think is supposed to be "dog", but sounds like "doa" So far you haven't even attempted to say "momma" but I know it will happen soon. 

 This last picture just cracks me up!  You are looking so serious and its just so unlike you, which is probably why I think its so funny.

We have been going on lots of walks lately and playing at the park some.  You really like the swings and playing on a quilt on the grass.  The fresh air always puts you in a good mood and calms you down if you are grumpy, (which is very rare) 
I catch you giving kisses to Butch all the time, but I only have one picture so far and its a really bad phone pic.

You truly are the happiest, most laid back baby ever.  I don't know what your daddy and I did to deserve sure a perfect little boy, but we are so very thankful for you! 

We love you all the way to the moon and back, little guy!

Afternoon at the Park

There are a million reasons I love my new job, but the biggest is that on beautiful days like today I can pick this sweet boy up from daycare early and we can hit the park.

9 months!

Stats:
18lbs 11oz
28 1/2 inches

You are wearing a wide variety of sizes, you can still wear 6-12 months in lots of things, but need 18 months in others.  its weird.  You have short legs, but a very long torso, so anything that is a one piece/snaps in the crotch you need a bigger size. You wear size 3 diapers, but we put you in size 4's at night, otherwise you wake up with a wet bed. Not fun.:-)

You still sleep really well.  You usually sleep at least 12 hours at night, and there was even one night where we put you to bed at 7:30p and I had to wake you up the next morning at 10a!  You are definately taking after your Momma, your daddy likes to say we are "sleep farmers"  If we are home, you take two 2-3 hour naps a day, but you will only take 1 short nap at daycare.  I guess there is just too much going on.

The big news for this month, is you finally started crawling.  You will also roll over now, which you wouldn't do before.  We also had to lower your crib this month, since you started sitting up on your own and trying to pull up.  You can make it to your knees, but you haven't quite figured out how to get all the way up.

I have lots of catching up to do, but our computer has been broken for almost a month now.  We just got it back last night, so hopefully I can get some pictures downloaded and added to the posts I have been working on.  Here's an iphone pic of Finn at the park to hold you over.....
