Two Months

We have had a busy and fun month.  We went to the zoo for the first time, had friends over to play, meet friends for lunch several times and went to visit Gran and Papa Sid in Fort Smith.  We are so lucky that Finn is such an easy baby and gets happier every day.  I love his little smile and it comes out just about anytime I pull out my phone or the camera.  He's already such a little ham! 

 He has grown so much this month!  He weighs 11lbs and 3.5 ounces and is 22 1/2 inches.  He is in the 95 percentile for weight and the 45 percentile for height. He is wearing 3-6 months and 6 month clothes.  He is still in size 1 diapers but only until we use the rest of the current package then on to size 2!  Finn's still not sleeping through the night, but he is only up once so I can't really complain at this point. He usually goes down around 9 and sleeps between 5-6 hours and then goes back sleep after eating for another 3-4 hours.  Last night he had a 7 1/2 hour stretch which was awesome!   He is still nursing every 2-3 hours during the day, but we are going to be slowly transitioning to formula and the bottle this month so when he starts daycare it won't be quite so hard.  I only have one more month at home with him before I go back to work and he starts daycare.  We plan to make the most of it! :-)

 He wasn't happy laying down with his bear so we had to take his bear pic sitting up.  He loves being able to see everything that is going on.  He still isn't a huge fan of his bouncy seat, but likes to lay on a blanket in the floor so he can see his new favorite toy, the ceiling fan. :-)

 Finn was in such a good mood yesterday both before and after his shots so I got alot of cute pictures.  I had a hard time narrowing them down for this post.

 Poor baby had to get a shot in each of those sweet thighs! 

We hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th! We are headed to Jonesboro see Finn's Mimi and Papa and meet all his aunts, uncles and cousins.

Alicia and Chloe and Kristy and Baby Stone came to visit us today.  Chloe was so excited to hold the babies.  She is so sweet to Finn and always wants to kiss him and tells me how cute he is!

Finn was pretty tired once everyone left and fell alseep in his bouncer for the first time ever.  He is a little bit spoiled and usually will only sleep in his bed or being held.

Happy Fathers Day!

Today is Jeff's first Father's Day and we decided to celebrate by making our first family visit to the Zoo, but before we left Daddy got to open his presents!

Finn got his Daddy a really awesome travel mug that has pictures of him on it.  I'm pretty sure Daddy thought it was the best thing ever.
And I gave Jeff some money to go towards his trip to St. Louis at the end of the summer.

Finn slept the pretty much the entire time we were there, but he sure looked cute in his hat!  On another note, I was very sad this morning when I was getting him dressed and realized that his 0-3 month onesie was too small and I had to break out the 3-6 month!  This boy is just growing way too fast.

This bear was so funny, He just kept walking back and forth and looking at us, I told Jeff he was probably thinking Finn looked like a good snack. 

I was so excited to see the new penguin exhibit. They were so cute, but not as cute as our little "penguin"!

Taking a break....we walked the entire zoo, with the exception of the bird exhibits.

 If you know me well, you know that I am scared to death of birds but especially ducks and geese.  When we were in the farm area there were some geese in a pen with a sign that said "Beware Attack Goose" and "Mating Season" I wish I had gotten a picture of it.

We really lucked out with the weather this morning.  We got there around 9 and finished up about 11:30, there was a nice breeze and we didn't start to get hot until right at the end.  We had so much fun and I can't wait for many more trips in our future.

One Month Check Up

Finn had his one month check up on the 31st.  He weighed in at 10lb 11oz and 21 inches.  He is right on track with his growth and developmental milestones, like eye contact and smiling.  He got his second Hep B shot, which was more upsetting to me than him, mainly because I wasn't prepared for shots that day.  He will get more immunizations at his next appointment and hopefully I'll be better prepared and won't cry.
