We had Finn's birthday at the park in our neighborhood the day before his actual birthday. His birthday fell on a Sunday this year and since all of our family would be coming from out of town, we thought it would be better to have the party Saturday. My sister Laurie and her husband Darin came down Friday night and stayed the weekend with us, but everyone else just drove down for the day on Saturday. We are so thankful for everyone who came and made Finn's first birthday so special!
The Birthday Boy before his party.
The amazing cake!! I found the cake on pinterest and a girl that Jeff works with made it for us. It turned out so cute and was soooo good.
We hadn't asked for a smash cake since I just figured we could give Finn a piece of the cake and he would be just as happy, but tiffany surprised us with this adorable Cookie Monster cake for Finn! So cute and Finn loved it!
Our family! Again I found the idea for the fruit/veggie trays on pinterest, but Jeff actually put them together. He is the best daddy everyday, but he was definately Super Dad on the day of his party! I planned the party, but when it came down to executing everything Jeff really did it all. Finn and I are sooo lucky!!
Finn thought it was so funny when we all started singing Happy Birthday to him. He just smiled and hammed it up for all the paparazzi, aka family.
He wasn't too sure about what he was supposed to do at first.....
