Mimi and Papa Visit

Mimi and Papa came to see Finn on Saturday.  They haven't seen him since he was born so they were excited to see our sweet boy and he was pretty excited too!

One Month!

I can NOT believe my baby is already one month old!  It seems like just yesterday we were coming home from the hospital.  I think it also doesn't seem like its been a whole month, since I've seemed to have pretty much blocked out the entire first week of his life.  Whenever I look at pictures from the day he was born and the time he was in NICU it doesn't seem like it really happened to us.  I am so thankful that he is healthy now and doesn't seem to have any lasting effects!  We took these pictures today, but his Dr. appointment isn't until Tuesday so I'll have to post his stats then.

Finn-
You have done alot in your first month, including lots of visits to Target and Kroger, going out for sushi, and a road trip to MO.  You really are a very easy baby and have been a good sleeper from the very beginning, but especially the last week or so when you started only waking up once a night!  You slept in a bassinet in our room for the first few weeks and spent your first night in your crib last night.  You did great, even though your daddy and I had to rock you for quite a while before you feel alseep, but I think that had more to due with pertnisone I started taking for the horrible rash I've had since before you were born!  You are an excellent eater and are growing so much! You are wearing a size 1 diaper and some 0-3 month clothing but mostly 3 months.  You have really started liking your baths more and still love your swing.  You also love to ride in the car, which is good since you spent about 9 hours in it in just 2 days! :-)  You have really started responding to our voices and following things with your eyes.  We've also gotten quite a few smiles out of you that I know aren't just gas.  Your Daddy and I love you so much and can't imagine not having you in our lives.  We can't wait to watch you continue to grow and change!

Finn makes the funniest faces, and has ever since he was born.  He also does an excellent pouty face, but I haven't been able to catch one of those on camera since his bath pics.  I got these in about 30 seconds tonight.

Aunt Laurie comes to visit!

My sister came down from Springfield last week to meet Finn and spend a few days with us.  We had a great time just hanging out and doing a little shopping.  Of course we were having so much fun we forgot to take pictures and I only have two from the entire time!  We can't wait for our next visit, Aunt Laurie!

It's been awhile...

I am so behind on blogging these days.  We have been super busy around here since last week, starting with a visit from my sister, Finn's first road trip, and a visit from Jeff's mom and dad.  Here are some pictures of Finn from over the last week or so. It seems like he is changing every day!

 On our way to the shower for Kristy and Baby Stone.  He wore this same outfit home from the hospital and it was huge! Just 2 weeks later and it was almost too small.

Sweet Dreams

First Bath

Finn had his first real bath tonight.  He wasn't really sure what to think about it, at times he seemed to like it and other times not so much, ha!

2 Weeks

What a difference a week makes!  You already seem so much bigger to me and I guess you are since you've gained almost a whole pound in the last seven days.  I can really tell how much you've grown when you are in your carseat and obviously you are wearing bigger clothes. :-) 

Likes:
-being swaddled
-your pacifier
-eating
-sleeping
-being cuddled by either Momma or Daddy
-the swing

Dislikes:
-having your diaper changed, but this seems to be getting better

You are wearing size  0-3 month and some 3 month clothing and size 1 diapers.  We had been putting size 1 diapers on you at night for a few days since you tended to leak out of newborns at night, but we offically moved to size 1 all the time after you leaked out of your newborn diaper at the doctors on Wednesday.  They are a little big, but at least we aren't having to change your clothes with each diaper change, ha!

UPDATE: Your umbillical cord finally fell off last night.  I was beginning to think it would never happen. :-)

1 Week! (a little late)

So we took this picture when you were exactly a week old, but I'm just now getting around to posting it, we've been a little busy, Ha!  At a week old, there isn't much to tell, other than you are the cutest baby boy ever!

You are wearing size newborn and some 0-3 month clothing (depending on the brand) and size newborn diapers.  The newborn clothes are almost too small, so I'm trying to get you in every outfit at least once! 

You really are the easiest, most laid back little guy.  The only times you ever cry are when you are hungry, your diaper needs changed, or we are changing your diaper.  We love you so much and still can't believe you are really ours!

39 Weeks and Finn's Birthday!

I just realized I never posted my 39 week belly picture.  We took this as we were walking out the door to the hospital at 5:30am on Friday, 4/29/11.  I can't believe how big I was and I'm totally wearing the same shirt I wore in my 38 week picture.  I was really running low on clothing options at this point, Ha! It's so hard to believe that this sweet baby I'm holding in my arms now was in my belly just a little over a week ago. 

My First Mothers Day

We are a great day today, starting with the fact that Finn only woke up twice during the night!  Jeff cooked me a fabulous breakfast and he and Finn got me a great gifts.  They got me a Flip camera and some red TOMS that I have been wanting for months, but never bought because my feet have been too swollen to wear anything but flip flops, ha!  Jeff even got Finn a pair of black ones.  They are way too big now, but will be super cute when he grows into them.  We spent the day just hanging out, watching movies and loving on our boy.  We even made a quick trip to Target that afternoon!
