A few of my favorite things..

As most of my friends know, I am a little obsessed with smocking.  I am also aware that the window of time I have to dress a boy in smocked outfits is considerably smaller than if Finn were a girl, so I'm trying to get as much in as possible. :-)  These are a few of my favorites so far.... 

 This one is 12 month and I can't wait to have his picture made wearing it next spring.

And while it's not smocked, my mom got him the CUTEST outfit this weekend and I can't wait for him to wear it!!!

 And doesn't every little boy need a pair of jeans?  :-)

It's finally here!!!

 Oh the drama this bedding has been!  I have stressed more about this than probably anything else the last 7 months.  I am so pleased with the way it turned out, Cynthia East did a fabulous job and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for custom bedding.  They have an amazing selection of fabrics and work with some incredibly talented seamstresses.  I got the green and black and white fabric from them and ordered the transportation theme fabric from http://www.sweetpeachesbedding.com/. 

Here is a close up of the bumper along with two of the sweetest stuffed animals.  The blue elephant was a gift and Jeff found the green alligator at ACH Gift Shop. 

I found this sign at Kids Furniture here in Little Rock and am planning to hang it above his window.

Jeff and I found this fire truck on sale at Hobby Lobby.  I am looking for some floating shelves for above his dresser/changing table and think it will look super cute there.

We are still waiting on the chair we ordered to come in and I am looking for a small table to go beside it.  I also have a small bookcase I am planning to paint and put in his room.  Jeff and I both love to read and really want Finn to like it as well.  We already have a pretty good collection of books going and have been trying to read to him each night.

30 Weeks

this is a horrible picture, I had been shopping all day with my mom and I was worn out!  We did get lots of cute things for Finn, though. :-) 

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 30 weeks

Size of Baby: Finn is the size of a head of lettuce (18 inches 3.2lbs)

Total Weight Gain: 26 pounds

Maternity Clothes: I've grown out of most of them.  Down to a few pairs of pants and shirts, but I don't want to spend money on more this close to the end. 

Gender: It's a Boy! Finn Edward Sheridan

Movement: He moves all the time, but as soon as anyone other than myself or Jeff tries to feel him he stops. 

Sleep: sleeping better but still up at least three times a night to go to the bathroom. 

What I miss: being able to walk faster than a snail.

Cravings: food in general:-)

Symptoms: I have heartburn every single day, Finn better have a head full of hair when he's born!

Best Moment this Week: getting Finn's bedding in!  Going to post pics of the nursery soon, I promise.

29 Weeks

Size of Baby: Finn is the size of a butternut squash(17 inches 3.1lbs)

Total Weight Gain: 26 pounds

Maternity Clothes: are getting smaller every day. :O)

Gender: It's a Boy! Finn Edward Sheridan

Movement: He moves all the time, which I love!

Sleep: happens occasionally these days.

What I miss: sleeping through the night, moving without pain and having caffenine past 2pm.

Cravings:  this week has been peanut butter and jelly sandwiches(which normally I hate) and apples

Symptoms: I have heartburn every single day sometimes mulitple times.

Best Moment this Week: Watching my belly move, its the craziest thing ever! 

 

 

28 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 28 weeks

Size of Baby: Finn is the size of a chinese cabbage (17 inches 3lbs)

Total Weight Gain: 18 pounds

Maternity Clothes: are getting smaller every day. :O)

Gender: It's a Boy! Finn Edward Sheridan

Movement: He moves all the time, which I love!

Sleep: sleeping better but still up at least twice a night to go to the bathroom.  Usually at 1:30 and 5a so I'm thinking these may be when Finn will be up to eat and he's just getting me ready. HaHa!

What I miss: put socks on with out getting out of breath and being able to walk or get in the car without pain.

Cravings:  Anything Chocolate, even though it gives me horrible heartburn. Dr. Pepper 

Symptoms: I have heartburn every single day, Finn better have a head full of hair when he's born!

Best Moment this Week: Jeff getting to feel Finn move for the first time. (Technically, it happened last week, but I had already posted for the week when it happened.) And getting his bedding ordered, as well as getting his dresser/changing table and chair ordered. 

 

 

Finn's Bedding

All this winter weather has really delayed me picking fabric for Finn's bedding and getting it started.  My mom has planned to come down two different weekends now to help me and both times the weather didn't cooperate.  I knew the pregnacy hormones were in full force yesterday when I cried because she couldn't come!  HaHa!  So since she couldn't make it down I made Jeff go with me to the fabric store (alot of fun for him) today and we made the decisions.  I brought the swatches home just to make sure I liked them in his room but I'm going back on Monday to place my order.  They said it will take about 2 weeks to get the bedding in. 

This is the fabric for Finn's bumper and the green will be the cording and the ties.

This will be the fabric for the crib skirt.  The stripes are a little more yellow than they appear in this picture.  They actually match the yellow in the bumper fabric and his walls perfectly.

27 weeks and 90 Days until Finn's Due Date

I think I look smaller this week than I did the last two week, I certainly don't feel any smaller! haha! I don't know if its the clothes or what.  Maybe I shoud start wearing the same thing every week?  I actually had someone ask me if I was only having one baby and another person was kind enough to inform me that I'm now waddling!  It would hurt my feelings but I really just feel bad that their Momma didn't teach them any manners. :-)

Size of Baby: Finn is the size of a head of cauliflower (16 inches 2.5lbs)

Total Weight Gain: 18 pounds

Maternity Clothes: are Awesome, I never want to wear regular jeans again.

Gender: It's a Boy! Finn Edward Sheridan

Movement: He moves all the time, especially when I'm sitting at my desk at work or have a full bladder. :-)

Sleep: sleeping better but still up at least twice a night to go to the bathroom.  Usually at 1:30 and 5a so I'm thinking these may be when Finn will be up to eat and he's just getting me ready. HaHa!

What I miss: bending over without pain

Cravings:  Anything Chocolate, even though it gives me horrible heartburn. 

Symptoms: I have heartburn every single day, Finn better have a head full of hair when he's born!

Best Moment this Week: Got the result from my glucose test and I don't have diabetes!  But I do have a low blood count so I am having to take iron supplements.
